Robert Goodspeed

Associate Professor of Urban and Regional Planning

Robert Goodspeed is a researcher, teacher, and activist in the urban planning field, currently serving as the Chair of the Urban and Regional Planning Program at the University of Michigan. They have been an Associate Professor at the same institution and previously held positions as an Assistant Professor and Rappaport Public Policy Fellow in Boston. Robert's past experience includes roles as a Research Analyst at the Metropolitan Area Planning Council and a Research Historian at History Associates Incorporated. They earned a PhD in Urban Studies and Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and have a Master's in Community Planning from the University of Maryland.
