Rohan Gupta

PHD Student

Rohan Gupta is currently a PhD student at the University of Michigan, having started in September 2025. Prior to this, Rohan served as a lecturer at the University of Chicago from June 2023 to July 2025, teaching a course on Python programming in astrophysics. Experience as a research assistant involved integrating a new Laser Frequency Comb into data reduction schemes, continuing work from undergraduate studies. Rohan also held positions as a teaching assistant and undergraduate research assistant focusing on exoplanet detection techniques. Additionally, Rohan worked as an advisor and head of funding for the UChicago Space Program, managing significant fundraising efforts for the PULSE-A cubesat project. Rohan's involvement as treasurer for the Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS-USA) included overseeing financial records and grant allocations. Educational background includes a Master of Science in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Science in Physics, Astrophysics, and Computer Science from the University of Chicago.
