Rong (Rocky) Ye is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Michigan since October 2022, focusing on the application of machine learning to heterogeneous catalysis research under the mentorship of Professors Bryan Goldsmith, Suljo Linic, Eranda Nikolla, and Nirala Singh. Previously, Rong served as a Presidential Postdoctoral Fellow at Cornell University from March 2018 to September 2022, conducting research under Professor Peng Chen. As a Graduate Student Researcher at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory from September 2013 to December 2017, research was conducted in the group of Professor Gabor A. Additionally, Rong worked as a Lab Safety Coordinator and Graduate Student Instructor at UC Berkeley from January 2013 to August 2015, overseeing laboratory safety and teaching courses in chemistry. Rong holds a PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley, a Master’s degree in Inorganic Chemistry from UCLA, and a Bachelor’s degree in Polymer Chemistry from Sun Yat-sen University.
