Shawn Bost, MSW, MA, serves as the Assistant Program Manager for Recruitment at the University of Michigan since September 2019. Previously, Shawn held roles as a Graduate Research Assistant under Dr. Lorriane Gutierrez, focusing on the Detroit Initiative, and under Dr. Shawna J Lee, contributing to the Parenting in Context Research Lab. Shawn's earlier experience includes serving as a Surf Research Fellow under Dr. Robert Smith at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, where research centered on the historical implications of the 13th Amendment. Additionally, Shawn participated in the Ronald E. McNair Postbaccalaureate Achievement Program and engaged in Study Abroad research with Dr. Michael Martin. Educational qualifications include a Master of Education in Leadership and Policy from the University of Michigan, a Master of Social Work with a concentration in Social Policy & Evaluation from the University of Michigan, and a Bachelor’s degree in History and Urban Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
