Steve Yaros

Stephen Yaros is currently the Chief of Staff in the Office of the President at the University of Michigan, where they have also held several positions including Senior Director of Operations and Initiatives. Prior to their role at the university, Stephen served as Deputy Director for White House Operations and Strategic Planning during the Obama administration, managing a team focused on optimizing operational processes. Stephen’s educational background includes pursuing a Master of Public Affairs and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Economics, both from the University of Michigan. Born and raised in Metro Detroit, their personal mission is to enhance the lives of Michiganders by building stronger communities and connecting residents to vital resources.
