Volker Sick

Volker Sick is an accomplished academic and researcher currently serving as the Arthur F. Thurnau Professor and Faculty Director at the University of Michigan since September 1997. In addition to being a DTE Energy Professor of Advanced Energy Research, Volker Sick is involved in educating future leaders through the Innovation for Impact Climate Change program. As Associate Vice President for Research, significant contributions are made to advancing research initiatives. Since August 2018, Volker Sick has been the Director of the Global CO2 Initiative, further underscoring a commitment to addressing climate challenges. Previous experience includes a role as an instructor at TechLab at Mcity from January 2016 to August 2018. Volker Sick holds a Habilitation in Physical Chemistry and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Heidelberg University, complemented by a Diplom in Chemistry from the same institution.
