Warde J. Manuel

Warde Manuel currently serves as the Donald R. Shepherd Director of Athletics at the University of Michigan, a position held since March 2016. Prior to this role, Warde Manuel was the Director of Athletics at the University of Connecticut from March 2012 to March 2016 and served as Athletic Director at the University at Buffalo from August 2005 to March 2012. Warde Manuel's earlier career at the University of Michigan included positions as Associate AD from June 1996 to August 2005, and as Assistant AD for Academic Affairs at the Georgia Institute of Technology from August 1994 to August 1995. Warde Manuel holds an MBA from the University of Michigan's Stephen M. Ross School of Business and possesses degrees in Social Work and Psychology from the University of Michigan.
