Winston Wang

Graduate Student Researcher

Winston Wang is a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of Michigan, focusing on PHY layer wireless system design and implementation under the guidance of Prof. Hun-Seok Kim. Key project involvement includes the development of feedback-based communication systems for URLLC. Prior experience includes a Wireless System Engineering Internship at Qualcomm, where work on WiFi RX spur mitigation and embedded software implementation took place, as well as an Undergraduate Student Researcher role at UCLA, simulating neural-optimized low-density parity-check decoders. Additional internships at Mercury Systems and Viasat Inc. contributed to hardware engineering and testing expertise. Winston holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from UCLA and is currently pursuing a PhD in Electrical Engineering at the University of Michigan, projected to complete in 2027.
