Dorien Margiela

Dorien Margiela has extensive experience in project management and engineering, currently serving as a Project Manager at Umicore since March 2022. Dorien has a long-standing role as a Sailing Instructor at VVW Galgenweel vzw since July 2006, actively contributing to the club's development. Previous positions include Project Leader at Agidens and Senior Project Engineer at Group-IPS, where Dorien led initiatives in the chemical and food industries, managing teams and coordinating complex projects. Education includes a Master of Science in Electro-Mechanical Engineering from the University of Ghent and a Bachelor in the same field, also from the University of Ghent. Additional experience includes internships at Daleel Petroleum and Adam Opel, as well as leadership roles in VTK Gent vzw focusing on recruitment and communication with companies.
