Jensen Verhelle has had a diverse and extensive work experience in the chemical and materials industry. Jensen started their career at Umicore in 2008 as a Management Trainee and progressed through various roles such as Assistant Controller and Production Manager. In 2013, they became the Operation Manager for Germanium Refining & Recycling.
In 2015, Jensen joined Umicore - Electro-Optic Materials, where they served as the Plant Manager for HPC, Refining & Recycling, and later as the Senior Sales Manager for Germanium in Europe and Asia.
In 2017, Jensen moved to Umicore Specialty Materials Brugge NV, where they assumed the position of General Manager until 2020.
At present, Jensen is working at Umicore as the Senior Vice President of Operations and Strategic Procurement for the Automotive Catalysts business unit. Jensen also held the position of Senior Vice President of Precious Metals Chemistry from 2022 to 2023 and served as the Vice President of Precious Metal Chemistry from 2020 to 2022.
Jensen Verhelle attended Zevenkerke from 1996 to 2002. Then, from 2002 to 2007, they pursued a Master's degree in Civil Engineering (Mechanics and Biomechanics) at KU Leuven. Lastly, in 2007-2008, they attended Vlerick Business School, although the degree and field of study are unspecified.
