M.D. Islam

Md Islam is an experienced QC Lab Manager at Umicore since December 2019, responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of the quality control laboratory, including equipment and analytical procedures. Prior to this role, Md Islam served as a GC Chemist at SGS from August 2016 to December 2019, where significant contributions were made to establish the GC department. Md Islam's earlier experience includes positions as a Staff Chemist and Instrumentation Chemist at Texas OilTech Laboratories from July 2012 to August 2016, and as a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at Lamar University between October 2009 and May 2012. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Chemistry and Biochemistry from Lamar University and a Master of Science in Organic Chemistry from the University of Dhaka.
