Michael van Gorp

Michael Van Gorp is an experienced operations manager currently serving at Umicore since September 2016. In various roles, including Operations Manager for Cobalt Refining & Transformation, Production Manager for Cobalt & Zano, and Operational Excellence Manager, Michael has developed expertise in managing utilities and refining processes, particularly in ultrafine zinc oxide powder. Prior to Umicore, Michael worked at Alcon, a Novartis company, in a mechanical maintenance role. Michael holds a Master's degree in Electromechanics from the University of Antwerp and has also studied at Universitat Politècnica de València.
