Katie Robinson Edwards serves as the Executive Director and Curator at UMLAUF Sculpture Garden + Museum since October 2020, after previously holding the role of Interim Executive Director and Curator. With a tenure beginning in September 2013, Katie has been instrumental in researching, organizing, and installing exhibitions of notable artists, including Charles Umlauf and contemporary figures such as Michael Ray Charles and James Surls. In 2014, Katie authored "Midcentury Modern Art in Texas," published by the University of Texas Press, highlighting the modern and abstract art movements in Texas from the 1930s to the 1960s. Prior to this, Katie served as Assistant Professor at Baylor University from 2006 to 2013, where responsibilities included teaching Modern and Contemporary Art History and leading field studies in major art cities. Katie holds a PhD in Art History from the University of Texas at Austin.
