Thapelo Marakalla

Thapelo Marakalla is a data science intern at Umuzi.org since December 2020, with experience in structuring and accessing data using relational databases, processing natural language with NLTK, and building machine learning workflows with Sci-kit learn. Prior to this role, Thapelo worked as a local project assistant at WhereIsMyTransport from January to March 2020, where responsibilities included validating the tracks of data collectors. Additionally, Thapelo served as a junior data analyst at ASHANTI-AI from February to July 2019. Educational background includes attendance at Tiisetsong Secondary School from 2008 to 2012.
