Marenglen Gjonaj

Marenglen Gjonaj is an experienced professional in climate finance and international development, currently serving as Team Lead for the Climate Finance Policy & Analysis Unit and the Climate Finance Transparency and Tracking Unit at UNFCCC since May 2012. Previously, Marenglen held various positions at the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative and the United Nations Development Programme, contributing as a Programme Officer and Project & Partnerships Coordinator, respectively. Early career experience includes roles in business development and marketing at Top Media Group, consultancy at The World Bank, and public relations at UNDP Albania. Marenglen's educational background includes a Doctorate in Business Administration from IAE Nice, a Master's in Financial & Economic International Organisations from the University of Zurich, and several other qualifications in international finance and law.
