Sadia Afreen is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in climate change, renewable energy, and public policy. Currently serving as an Associate Programme Officer at UN Climate Change since September 2021, Sadia previously held positions at the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) and the Financial Services Volunteer Corps, where responsibilities included supporting proposal development for USAID. Earlier roles included consulting for Barclays Investment Bank on green infrastructure financing and working as a Graduate Analyst at National Grid, focusing on climate change compliance. Sadia's experience also includes significant contributions to The World Bank's multi-donor trust fund initiatives and a consultancy role with UN Women, addressing the economic empowerment of women migrant workers in Bangladesh.
