Sjoukje Yao Wu

Sjoukje Yao Wu is an experienced professional in sustainable development and international cooperation, currently serving as an Earth expert at UNESCO since September 2023. Wu has been involved with the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification since 2014, focusing on social media initiatives. Notable contributions include serving as a jury member for the Women's Voices Now International Film Festival in early 2023 and supervising research at Tsinghua University from June 2019 to October 2021. Previous roles include advising on international cooperation projects, supporting local governance initiatives with UNDP, and assisting in environmental projects with various organizations, demonstrating a strong commitment to environmental and development issues.
