Alaa al Khourdajie

Alaa Al Khourdajie is a Research Fellow at Imperial College London since October 2019, focusing on integrated assessment modelling and energy systems modelling. Al Khourdajie serves as the Lead Author for the 7th Global Environmental Outlook (GEO7) at the UN Environment Programme since February 2023 and is a Guest Research Scholar at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis, leading projects on emission reduction scenarios. Previous roles include Senior Scientist and Contributing Author for the IPCC and Visiting Scholar at both PBL Planbureau voor de Leefomgeving and the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development, where projects involved the application of machine learning techniques in climate data analysis. Al Khourdajie's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Bath, with prior experience as a Teaching Fellow and Economist, contributing to environmental economic policy development.
