Beatriz Martins Carneiro

Beatriz Martins Carneiro serves as the Regional Sub-Programme Coordinator for Finance and Economic Transformations at the UN Environment Programme, focusing on sustainable practices in Latin America and the Caribbean. With extensive experience in sustainable development, Beatriz has held various roles, including Programme Management Officer responsible for the GO4SDGs Initiative and consumer information related to SDG 12. Previous positions include Executive Secretary for UN Global Compact Network Brazil and responsibilities at the Ministry of Development, Industry and Trade concerning sustainable development and renewable energy. Beatriz holds multiple degrees, including a Master’s in Environmental Law from the University of Paris I and an LL.M. in Comparative Law from the University of Florida.
