Irene Mwoga

Irene Mwoga serves as a Data Specialist and Digital Transformation Program Coordinator at the UN Environment Programme’s Regional Office for Africa, focusing on scaling sustainable digital tools across the African region and providing support for data and digital initiatives. With extensive experience at the United Nations, Irene has held roles including Programme Management Officer, overseeing system-wide reporting and leading SDG analysis for Kuwait, as well as responsibilities in data management and evaluation. Prior experience includes strategic information roles at the World Health Organization, managing health data platforms in Tanzania, and programme management and auditing positions in various organizations. Irene holds an MBA in Management Information Systems from Maastricht School of Management, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Dar es Salaam, and a Post Graduate diploma in Development Evaluation from the University of the Witwatersrand.
