William Speller is an economist and programme manager with a decade of experience in the UN and over fifteen years working with developing countries. Currently a Programme Manager at UN Environment, they lead projects focused on natural capital accounting and ecosystem services. Previously, William worked as an economist at UNCTAD and the Bank of England, where they assessed macroeconomic risks and contributed to significant financial stability reports. They co-founded Sunrise Uganda UK, supporting children's education in Eastern Uganda, and hold multiple advanced degrees in economics and environmental science.
