Senior Advisor, Land, Housing And Human Rights at UN-Habitat

Robert Lewis-Lettington is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in land, housing, and human rights, currently serving as Senior Advisor at UN-Habitat since September 2012. In this role, Robert acts as Secretary for the Global Land Tool Network and represents UN-Habitat at the Human Rights Council and various treaty bodies. Previously, Robert held various leadership positions within UN-Habitat, including Chief of the Land, Housing and Shelter Section and Chief of the Legislation Unit. Additionally, Robert contributed to the International Telecommunication Union as Chair of the Working Group on Security, Privacy and Trust, and served as a Consultant Policy Advisor for the FAO during significant treaty negotiations. An accomplished academic, Robert has lectured on intellectual property rights and holds a Doctor of Law from William & Mary Law School, along with a Master's in History and an Honors degree in Art History.
