Laurence Gillois is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in strategic partnerships and resource mobilization within international organizations. Currently serving as part of UN Women's Afghanistan team since September 2025, Gillois previously held the position of Head of Partnerships at UNESCO from March 2024 to September 2025. Gillois has a long-standing association with UN Women, acting as Deputy Director of the Brussels Office from March 2010 to March 2024, and fulfilling various roles such as Deputy Director and Director a.i., as well as Programme and Partnership Specialist. Earlier in the career, Gillois served as a Partnerships and Resource Mobilization Adviser at DVV International and worked with the European Commission in roles including Programme Specialist and Political Adviser to the EU Delegation in Indonesia and Timor Leste. Gillois holds a Master's degree in International Law and Legal Studies from Universite Paris II Pantheon and a Master's degree in Political Science and International Relations from Institut d'études politiques de Rennes.
