Saman Ahsan

Saman Ahsan is an experienced professional in gender equality and women's empowerment, currently serving as the Portfolio Manager for Ending Violence Against Women, Governance, and Human Rights at UN Women Pakistan since April 2018. Ahsan has a diverse background, including a consultancy role for the Kashf School Sarmaya Program and leadership as Executive Director of Girls Action Foundation in Canada, where program development for girls and young women's empowerment was spearheaded. Previous positions include Community Liaison Coordinator at CJPME / CJPMO and Coordinator at the Jeanne Sauvé Foundation, alongside significant contributions to the Global Fund and the World Economic Forum as a Global Leadership Fellow. Ahsan has an extensive educational background with a Master's in Global Leadership from the World Economic Forum, Columbia University, and INSEAD, an MSc in Development Studies from SOAS University of London, and a BA in Anthropology from McGill University.
