Sarah H.

Sarah H. is an accomplished leader in gender equality and women's empowerment, currently serving as the Head of Secretariat for the UN Secretary-General's Gender Equality Acceleration Plan and Director of the Policy, Programme & Intergovernmental Division at UN Women. With over two decades of experience, Sarah has held significant positions, including Deputy Executive Director a.i. for Policy, Programme, Civil Society, and Intergovernmental Support at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Director of Gender Equality & Social Inclusion at Plan International. Sarah's work spans multiple countries and organizations, focusing on innovative programs that address gender inequality, HIV/AIDS, and social inclusion, while leading efforts to secure substantial investments for gender-related initiatives. Sarah holds a Master's degree in Adult Education & International Community Development from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor's degree in International Justice & Human Rights from McMaster University, among other academic accomplishments.
