Simen Fjørtoft

Director, Business Development at Unacast

Simen Fjørtoft has extensive work experience in various companies and roles. Simen currently serves as the Director of Business Development at Unacast, where they empower companies and individuals to make informed decisions based on accurate understanding of human activity. Prior to this, Simen worked at Atea Norge, starting as a Shop Assistant in 2010 and later transitioning to roles such as Digital Business Analyst, Digital Business Developer, Acting Head of Insight, and finally Head of Insight. During their time at Atea Norge, they were responsible for strategy development, web analytics, data management, and driving a data-driven culture. Simen also completed an internship at Atea Norge, where they evaluated and analyzed customers of the Atea service. Additionally, they worked as a Marketing Assistant at Handelshøyskolen BI, where they contributed to the development of TypiskBI.no/Possibilities.bi. Prior to that, Simen gained experience as a Mystery Shopper at Kløverhuset and as a Shop Assistant at Monter and Optimera. Simen also worked as Extra Help Carpenter at Ca-sa As, where they completed restorations and other handicraft tasks during the summers of 2014 and 2015.

Simen Fjørtoft's education history begins in 2007 when they started their studies at Fagerlia vidergående, where they pursued a degree in Studiespesialiserende with a focus on Idrettsfag. Simen completed this program in 2011.

Following this, Simen enrolled at BI Norwegian Business School and completed their Bachelor's degree in markedskommunikasjon in 2015. Simen then continued their education at the same institution and obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Strategic Marketing Management in 2017.

In addition to their formal education, Simen has pursued several certifications. In 2019, they obtained the AgilePM® Foundation certification from APMG International. In 2020, they completed the Design Sprint certification from The Innovation Effect (TIE). Most recently, in 2022, they acquired the Visual Storytelling in PowerPoint certification from LinkedIn.
