Palikena Kaude is a skilled professional with extensive experience in health programs, gender equality, and community engagement. Currently serving as the Equality and Rights for All Officer at UNAIDS since February 2023, Palikena focuses on advancing equality and addressing the needs related to the HIV epidemic in Malawi. Previously, Palikena held significant roles such as the SRHR Thematic Lead at Plan International, where strategic development aligned with gender-responsive initiatives took place, and Program Manager at World Bicycle Relief, emphasizing partnership building and strategic planning. As a Research Development Consultant, Palikena conducted research on civil justice needs for women in Lilongwe and has a history of volunteer leadership in sexual and reproductive health initiatives. Palikena holds a Master's degree in Development Studies from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Malawi-Kamuzu College of Nursing.
