Vera Ilyenkova

Vera Ilyenkova is an experienced public health professional specializing in key populations and community engagement, currently serving as an Adviser for Eastern Europe and Central Asia (EECA) with UNAIDS since December 2013. Vera Ilyenkova also holds the position of Country Manager for the UNAIDS country office in Belarus. Prior experience includes roles as a Professional Officer in communicable diseases at the World Health Organization from August 2005 to November 2013, and as an Infectious Diseases Doctor at the Minsk Infectious Diseases Hospital and the Republican AIDS Center. Vera Ilyenkova's educational background includes a Master of Public Health from the University of Essex, various public health certificates from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, a postgraduate diploma in Infectious Diseases, and a Bachelor of Medicine from Belaruski Dzjaržauny Medycynski Universitet.
