Karen Looney (Sara)

Karen "Sara" Looney is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in both technology and holistic health. Since May 2008, Karen has served as a Data Technician at UNAVCO, overseeing data flow for the Plate Boundary Observatory, which includes configuring GPS receivers and managing data integrity. Concurrently, since May 2007, Karen has operated a private acupuncture practice in Boulder, CO, addressing a range of health issues using Classical Five Element Acupuncture. Previous roles include Embedded Systems Engineer at Looney Consulting and Software Engineer at Xpedite Systems, as well as a Software Architect at InterAura Research and Research Engineer at NASA Langley Research Center. Karen holds a Master of Science in Acupuncture from the Institute of Taoist Education and Acupuncture and a degree from the University of Florida.
