Simon Crossan has a diverse work experience in the field of data analysis and engineering. Simon started their career as a Statistical Analyst at Statistics New Zealand from November 2011 to March 2015. During this time, they contributed to the development and production of National Accounts and Balance of Payments statistics. Simon also created efficient automated processes and error checking procedures using SAS/SQL.
From April 2015 to February 2017, Simon worked as a Senior Analyst at the Ministry of Education of New Zealand. Here, they contributed to the development and production of indicators in the OECD's Education at a Glance annual publication. Simon enhanced the value of data outputs by developing data visualization tools using Tableau, R (shiny), and JavaScript.
Simon then joined Eve Sleep in June 2017 as a Data Analyst. In this role, they produced business reports by sourcing data from various sources and performed analysis on trends, opportunities, and risks. From June 2019 to August 2022, they served as the Head of Data at Eve Sleep. Their responsibilities included developing and maintaining scheduled SQL queries, collaborating with teams to create performance metrics, and producing business forecasts using statistical techniques in Python and R.
Currently, Simon is working as a Data Engineer at Unbiased, starting in August 2022. Further details about this role are not provided.
