Aura Young

Aura Young, Ph.D., serves as the Associate Director at the UNC Charlotte Center for Graduate Life and Learning since January 2023, following a robust career at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where roles included Assistant Director of Professional Development and Doctoral Support, Doctoral Services Specialist, and Graduate Completion Specialist since January 2017. Prior experience includes a position as a Translator at Willowbridge Associates Inc. from September 2015 to February 2019, focusing on Russian news related to transnational relations, and as a PhD Candidate at Yale Graduate School of Arts and Sciences (2010-2018), where teaching responsibilities encompassed courses in Russian language, literature, and culture. Aura Young obtained a Doctor of Philosophy from Yale University (2010-2018), and holds both a Master of Philosophy and a Master of Arts in Russian Language and Literature from Yale and Duke University, respectively, along with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
