Christopher Smith

Christopher Smith, PhD, MSN, RN, GCQM, serves as an Assistant Professor at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte since May 2024, previously holding the same position at Barton College from May 2022 to May 2024. Christopher gained research experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at East Carolina University College of Nursing from August 2018 to July 2022, contributing to systematic reviews and various research projects related to hypertension, chronic pain, and peripheral vascular disease. Prior to academic roles, Christopher worked as a Clinical Nurse at Wilson Medical Center from March 2010 to May 2022, involved in multiple departments including vascular access and outpatient surgery. Educational credentials include a PhD in Psychometrics, Quantitative Methods, and Research Methodology, along with advanced certificates and degrees in quantitative methods and nursing education from East Carolina University and Appalachian State University.
