Daniel Dillon Clausner Jr.

Daniel Dillon Clausner Jr. is an experienced International Student & Scholar Advisor at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte since December 2019, providing immigration and visa advising to over 2,500 international students and scholars. Previously, Daniel served as an Exchange Visitor Counselor at UCLA from October 2013 to December 2019, offering counseling on various aspects of the J-1 visa experience. Additional roles include teaching English Language Arts and coaching at Teach For America, as well as working as an Admissions Editor & Consultant for international clients seeking admission to U.S. MBA programs. Daniel's early experiences include a Graduate Teaching Assistant position at Cornell University, a Comprehensive Planning Management Intern role at Arlington County, and serving as a High School English Teacher in the Peace Corps. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Northwestern University, a Master of Arts in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from Cornell University, and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Public Policy at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
