Michael Thompson

Michael Thompson is a seasoned academic and professional in public health, currently serving as an Associate Professor with tenure and Interim Chair of the Department of Health Management and Policy at the College of Health and Human Services, University of North Carolina at Charlotte. With extensive experience since 2005, Thompson has held multiple leadership roles including Director of several graduate programs and has contributed to the development of PhD programs in Epidemiology, Health Services Research, and Public Health Sciences. In addition to duties at the University of North Carolina, Thompson is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the School of Public Health, American University of Armenia, and previously held positions at institutions including King Saud University and Johns Hopkins University. Thompson's educational background includes a Doctor of Public Health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, a Master of Science from the University of Maryland Baltimore County, and a Bachelor of Arts from The Johns Hopkins University.
