Patrick Bounds

Patrick Bounds is a highly skilled data scientist currently serving as a Senior Data Scientist at General Motors since May 2023. Bounds has been a NSF Graduate Research Fellow in CFD and Machine Learning at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte since September 2020, contributing to significant research in computational fluid dynamics. Previous experience includes roles as a CFD Research Engineer at Corvid Technologies, where benchmarks and workflows for Dethatched Eddy Simulation were developed, as well as validating RANS transition models. Additionally, Bounds has worked as a Simulation Engineer at Pratt Miller and a Research Engineer at Curtiss-Wright Surface Technologies. An academic foundation in mechanical engineering includes a Master's degree earned at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2022 and a Bachelor's degree in the same field completed in 2020.
