Sandra Watts

Sandra Watts, PhD, serves as the Academic Director for the B.S. in Professional Studies at UNC Charlotte Online, overseeing the development of progressive online degree options for adult learners. Since April 2023, Sandra has also been the Membership Coordinator for the South Region at UPCEA and has held multiple roles at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte since August 2005, including Interdisciplinary Faculty and Program Coordinator, specializing in online and blended learning. Additionally, Sandra has extensive experience as a presenter through various organizations such as EDUCAUSE and QM, focusing on online course design, student success, and intercultural competence. Sandra earned an A.B. cum laude in Comparative Literature from Cornell University and holds a Doctor of Philosophy and a Master of Arts in Romance Languages and Literatures from the University of Michigan.
