Fache Drew Thomas

Drew Thomas has a diverse work experience spanning over 14 years. Drew currently holds the position of Chief Ambulatory Officer, VP President of Medical Group Operations at UNC Health Blue Ridge since September 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Vice President Physician and Ambulatory Operations at UNC Health Blue Ridge from March 2020 to November 2021. From July 2019 to March 2020, they held the position of Vice President Physician Services- Medical Group Operations at UNC Health Blue Ridge.

Previously, Drew Thomas worked at Carolinas HealthCare System Blue Ridge, where they held various roles from September 2016 to November 2021. These roles include Vice President, Assistant Vice President, and System Director.

Before joining Carolinas HealthCare System Blue Ridge, Drew Thomas worked at Blue Ridge HealthCare as the Director of Operations from March 2013 to October 2014. Drew also served as a Business Analyst from February 2012 to March 2013.

Additionally, Drew Thomas has experience working at Sava Senior Care as a Human Resource Coordinator from April 2010 to February 2012, and at NC State Employees' Credit Union as a Financial Services Officer from May 2007 to April 2010.

Drew Thomas, FACHE MBA, has a strong educational background in business administration and management, with a specialization in health care administration and management. Drew completed their Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) degree from Appalachian State University, where they studied a wide range of business administration and management subjects from 2002 to 2006.

To further enhance their knowledge and skills in the healthcare industry, Drew Thomas pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from Ohio University. This program, undertaken from 2012 to 2014, provided him with a deeper understanding of the unique challenges and dynamics within the healthcare field.
