Andrea Gymer

Andrea Gymer serves as the System Vice President of Heart & Vascular at UNC Health since October 2025. Prior to this role, Andrea held various leadership positions at Novant Health from November 2007 to October 2025, including Vice President of Strategic and Business Planning, where accountability extended to system-wide strategic initiatives and analytics. Andrea also served as Vice President of Foundation and Community Engagement, focusing on modernization of foundation operations, and as Director of Community Partnerships, responsible for community benefit initiatives. Additional experience includes a role as a Member of Chief, supporting women executives, and serving as an Adjunct Faculty at Winston-Salem State University. Andrea's earlier career includes a Director role at NorTech and a Consultant position at Golden Age Centers of Greater Cleveland. Educational credentials comprise an MBA from Case Western Reserve University, a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Ohio University, and coursework in Public Health from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
