Hiten Patel

Hiten Patel is an accomplished interventional cardiologist currently serving as the Program Director for the Cardiovascular Diseases Fellowship and Director of the Cardiovascular Cath Lab at UNC Health Southeastern since August 2023. Prior to this, Hiten Patel held the position of interventional cardiologist at UNC Health from December 2020 and at Cape Fear Valley Health from July 2018 to September 2020. Hiten Patel completed cardiology and interventional cardiology fellowships at New York Medical College from July 2014 to June 2018. Hiten Patel's education includes a Doctor of Medicine in Interventional Cardiology Residency from New York Medical College, a Doctor of Medicine in Cardiovascular Disease Residency from both New York Medical College and Seton Hall University, and extensive training in internal medicine. Hiten Patel began medical education at Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, earning a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.).
