James Newton

James Newton is a clinical advisor at UNC FastTraCS Advisory Group and a resident physician in the Pediatric Scientist Training Program at UNC Health, both roles held since 2022. Additionally, James serves on the Board of Directors for the Blow By Oxygen Foundation and is a founder and advisory board member at LeanMed, LLC. Previous experience includes serving as a clinical researcher in the Clinician Scientist Training Program and as a pre-doctoral research fellow at the Medical Devices Laboratory. James holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, a Graduate Certificate in Medical Product Innovation from the University of Pittsburgh Swanson School of Engineering, a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Utah, and a Master's Degree (MS) in Clinical Research from the University of Pittsburgh.
