Marlene Rifkin

Marlene Rifkin, Ret., has an extensive career in health care operations, serving as Sr. VP Operations at UNC Health Care from January 1993 to the present. Prior experience includes the role of Executive Director of the University of Miami Practice Plan and VP at Jackson Memorial Hospital from June 1980 to January 1993. Marlene began her career as a Research Associate in the Department of Neurology/Neurobiology at Cornell Medical School from June 1966 to June 1980 and held a Research Associate position in the Department of Metabolism and Endocrinology at Northwestern Medical School from May 1968 to January 1970. Marlene's educational achievements include a Sr. Policy Fellowship from the National Association of Public Health and Hospitals, a Management Fellowship in Health Care Policy/Public Health from NAPH/NYU, and a Master of Science in Business and Management from Florida International University. Marlene also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Chemistry, and Medical Technology from The Ohio State University.
