Buck Perley

Buck Perley is an engineer at Unchained Capital. Buck previously worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Tierion from April 2019 to March 2020. Prior to that, they were the Engineering Lead at Purse from July 2017 to January 2019, where they worked on the bcoin team, an open source JavaScript implementation of Bitcoin. Perley also worked as a UI Engineer at Ayasdi from July 2016 to July 2017. Buck began their career as a Project Manager and Developer at Eggplant Digital from February 2014 to March 2015, where they worked on front-end and back-end development on Wordpress based websites for international and local companies based in Beijing and around China. Perley is also the founder and co-CEO of The China Step, which they ran from January 2012 to May 2013.

Buck Perley has an Honours BA with Distinction from the University of Toronto - New College in Economics, Chinese Language and Society. Buck also went on a Chinese Exchange to Tsinghua University to study Mandarin Language. Buck Perley graduated from Horace Mann School and is currently a student at Hack Reactor studying Javascript.
