Kris Naessens

Kris Naessens has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. kris currently serves as the Senior Director of Operations at Unchained Labs since January 2021, after previously holding the position of Director of Operations from June 2017 to January 2021. Prior to their time at Unchained Labs, Kris was the Head of Production at Trinean from September 2013 to June 2017. kris also served as a steering group member at Flanders Microfluidics and Microreactor Consortium from April 2010 to September 2013. Kris played a significant role in co-founding Trinean in 2007, where they guided the start-up through its early stage financing rounds and developed a proprietary microfluidic platform called DropPlates. Additionally, they were responsible for setting up an industrial manufacturing supply chain and leading the DropPlate manufacturing team. Kris began their career as a Post-doctoral position at IMEC in 2003, although specific details about their role and dates are not provided.

Kris Naessens pursued an Executive master class in supply chain management at Vlerick Business School from 2014 to 2015. In 2013, they also attended Vlerick Business School for a program in operational excellence. Prior to this, Kris Naessens completed a Doctor in Applied Sciences in micro-photonics at Ghent University from 1998 to 2003. kris had previously obtained a Master of Science in Photonics Engineering from Ghent University, graduating between 1993 and 1997.
