Theresa Harper

Theresa Harper has a wide range of work experience in the scientific field. Theresa started their career at Zyomyx as a Research Scientist focused on assay and applications development. Theresa then moved to Quantum Dot Corporation as a Senior Staff Scientist, where they developed chemistry for various applications and led a team to address internal development issues. Subsequently, Theresa worked at Aviir, Inc. as a Group Leader in the research department, focusing on developing innovative assays. Theresa later joined Matrix Biosensors as a Principal Scientist and was part of the start-up team responsible for developing assays on capacitive micromachined ultrasonic transducers. Theresa then worked at ForteBio, where they served as the Director of Assay R&D and led a team in the development of assays, surface chemistry, and instrumentation. During their time at Self Employed, they worked as an Independent Scientific Consultant, carrying out proof-of-concept studies, managing assay development projects, and validating instrument platforms. Most recently, they were employed at Unchained Labs, where they held the positions of Principal Scientist, Director of Support Science, and Senior Director of Workflows Operations. In these roles, they managed production groups, led system integration projects, managed customer interactions, and collaborated with various departments to achieve company goals. Overall, Theresa has a diverse work experience that spans over multiple companies and roles within the scientific field.

Theresa Harper earned a Ph.D. in Chemistry from UC San Diego between 1993 and 1998. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at Texas A&M University from 1990 to 1993.
