Uncommon Schools
Joshua Redd has extensive experience in counseling, teaching, and community engagement. Currently serving as the Head Boys Counselor and Group Counselor at Change Summer since July 2016, Joshua has positively impacted over 1,000 campers through mindfulness and empathy-focused activities. Additionally, Joshua holds a teaching position at Uncommon Schools and previously contributed to Bates College through roles on the Equity and Inclusion Advisory Committee, as a Bonner Leader, and as a Peer Writing and Speaking Assistant, where advocacy for student equity and community outreach were emphasized. Joshua has also gained valuable experience in various internships with Uncommon Schools, including roles related to operations, college completion, and recruitment. Joshua earned a Bachelor of Arts in African-American/Black Studies from Bates College in 2021.
