Adriana Both Engel

Adriana Both Engel has a wealth of experience in the field of materials engineering and physical chemistry. From 2007 to 2010, they were an Undergraduate Chemical Engineering Research Intern at ProCat DEQUI, UFRGS, Laboratório de Processos Catalíticos (Catalytic Processes Laboratory). From 2010 to 2012, they were an Undergraduate Research Intern on Materials Engineering at LACER-UFRGS, Ceramic Materials Laboratory, where they were responsible for BET surface area measurements, and conducted a project in collaboration with LASEM (Laboratory of Separation by Membranes) on the development, characterisation and test of filtration membranes made by electrospinning. From 2012 to 2016, they were a PhD in Physical Chemistry of Materials at the European Institute of Membranes of Montpellier/France. From 2016 to 2019, they were a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. From 2019 to 2022, they were an R&D Engineer IR Lamps at Ushio Germany, where they were responsible for the development of infrared lamps for industrial heating applications from project start up to series production, conducting feasibility studies, creating technical specifications, etc. Currently, they are the Scientific Implementation Manager at Uncountable Inc.

Adriana Both Engel obtained their Engineer's degree in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul in 2011. Adriana then completed a Master's degree in Materials Chemistry from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Montpellier in 2012. In 2013, they began their Ph.D in Materials chemistry, Electrochemistry, Renewable energy, and Electrospinning at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Montpellier, which they completed in 2015. Adriana has also obtained certifications in Using Python to Access Web Data, Python Data Structures, Programming for Everybody (Getting Started with Python), telc Deutsch B2, DELF B2 - Diplôme d'Etudes en Langue Française, TOEIC - Test of English for International Communication, and TCF - Test de Connaissance du Français.
