Kris Terauds

Economist, Commodities Branch

Kris Terauds has extensive experience in economics and development, having served in various roles since 1998. Key positions include Ambassadorial Scholar at Rotary International, Economist at UNCTAD where responsibilities included work in the Commodities and Trade, Poverty and Inequality Branches, and temporary Special Advisor to the Deputy Secretary-General. Additional experience includes a managerial role at Tradex Foods Inc., a management consultant position at Arthur D. Little, and a research associate role at Intercedent Asia. Kris has also contributed as an Executive Committee Member for the Intergovernmental Forum on Mining, Minerals, Metals and Sustainable Development. Currently, Kris holds the position of Economist in the Commodities Branch at UNCTAD since November 2022. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Victoria and a Master in Development Studies from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, Switzerland.
