Massimo Sartoris

Chief, Business Applications Unit at UNCTAD

Massimo Sartoris has extensive work experience in the field of information technology. Massimo began their career as a Software Specialist at Digital Equipment Corporation in 1988 and worked there until 1994. After that, they joined the United Nations International Computing Centre as a Network Systems Officer from 1994 to 2001. In 2002, Sartoris moved to UNCTAD, where they held various roles such as Information Systems Officer from 2002 to 2011, and eventually became the Chief of the Business Applications Unit in 2011.

Massimo Sartoris completed their education from 1975 to 1980 at Istituto Sociale di Torino, where they obtained their Maturita' classica degree in the field of Classics and Classical Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics. Massimo then pursued a Laurea in Ingegneria Elettronica (Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering) from 1980 to 1985 at Politecnico di Torino. In addition to their formal education, they obtained certifications such as "PowerShell 5 Essential Training" and "Windows Server 2016: Active Directory Certificate Services" through LinkedIn in April 2020.
