Ralf Peters

Ralf Peters has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations and roles. Ralf began their career in 1999 as a Researcher and Project Coordinator at ZEW - Leibniz Centre for European Economic Research. Ralf then worked as an Assistant Professor at the University of Magdeburg from 2001 to 2002. In 2002, they joined the United Nations as an International Civil Servant, where they served until 2009. Following this, they worked at the International Labour Organization as a Chief Technical Advisor for a year. In 2010, they joined UNCTAD and held various positions including Economic Affairs Officer, Chief, Trade Information Section, and currently serves as the Head of the Trade Analysis Branch. Alongside their work at UNCTAD, Ralf worked as a Business Mediator and Lecturer for Negotiation Analysis at the Chamber of Commerce and Universities from 2001 to 2013.

Ralf Peters has a Ph.D. in Economics from TU Dortmund University, which they obtained from 1996 to 1999. Prior to that, they completed their Diplom in Mathematics/Economics from the University of Bielefeld. It is not specified when they attended the University of Bielefeld. Additionally, Ralf Peters attended the University of Birmingham, where they studied Mathematics and Economics, but it is unclear whether they obtained a degree from there.
