Romain Perez

Economist

Romain PEREZ is an experienced economist with a strong background in international development and economic policy. Currently serving as an economist in the Special Unit on Commodities at UNCTAD since March 2015, Romain previously worked at the OECD from March 2011 to June 2014, focusing on G8-G20-African development negotiations, climate change, and private sector enhancement. Prior experience includes an economic affairs officer role at the United Nations Headquarters, where Romain was involved in ECOSOC negotiations on African sustainable development and the green economy, as well as an economist at the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, analyzing trade negotiations. Romain's career began as a credit analyst at Credit Lyonnais Americas in New York (2002-2003). Romain holds a Master's degree in Economics from HEC Paris and a Master's degree in Public Administration from Sciences Po.
